One issue I’ve noticed is with artist order on tracks. No matter what I do, I can’t consistently format the artist order the way I want for a release. For example, if I have a release with “Track 1” listing artists “Artist A,” “Artist B,” and “Artist C,” and those artists will now have rights holder pages. But the next time I release a new album and enter the artist metadata for “Track 2” as “Artist A,” “Artist C,” and “Artist B,” Soundrop reorders it back to “Artist A,” “Artist B,” and “Artist C” by the time I reach the submission page. Similarly, if I work with a new artist alongside an existing artist—say “Artist D” and “Artist C”—and I create “Track 3” formatted as “Artist A,” “Artist D,” and “Artist C,” it gets reordered to “Artist A,” “Artist C,” and “Artist D.” I believe this happens because each collaborator has their own rights holder profile with a unique ID number. It seems the Soundrop system automatically sorts artists by their ID, likely from lowest to highest, which results in the oldest collaborator always appearing first. Is there a way to give artists more control over the order of collaborators in the future?
